rex is digressing slowly,,,been almost 3 weeks now
eats almost nothing, drinks and pees like a champ
vet says something is attacking his kidney, waiting for lepto results
he was running a termperature,,,but not anymore
occasional muscle spasms, mostly while sleeping and exhaling
bloodwork looked good except white blood cell count was a little low
has a hard time keeping his antibiotics down on an empty stomach
very lethargic with short labored breathing
his gums are pink which is good
eats almost nothing, drinks and pees like a champ

Just out of curiousity what kind of food is he on? Cuz this is the kind of stuff that was happening to the animals when they had all those recalls.
I hope he gets better!

Hmm...That sounds like some yummy food. :-)
What about Slug bait? Do you think he could of gotten into that somewhere? But that shouldn't stay in his system for that long I don't think. I'm just trying to think of some things that I know bother dogs. Have you done any research to see if you can find anything?

Bing,
Sure hope it's nothing serious with Rex, I've never had those symtoms with a dog before

any ideas?</end quote></div>
Any way he could have gotten into any antifreeze? That stuff really damages the kidneys bad. And Tylenol(I think) is really bad for dogs. or Maybe it's Advil that's poisonous to dogs. Maybe both...Although if he's still urinating, that's a good sign.
I hope you get it figured out and he starts getting better.

Good morning PSAR. Last day of school for us FINALLY! 3 hours with the kiddos, an hour or so to clean up, then head for home, hitch up, and hit the road. At least that's the plan.... but you know life tends to get in the way of the plans we make
Have a great day everyone!
