Hi everyone!! Im hoping to have a great year riding with a fun bunch of people...Up for anything most anytime that I can!!! I want to take my sons along this summer a bit more and Im hoping to see other parents in our group bring their kids...this can be a very safe sport coupled with camping, mud and fun!! Let get together and ride!!! Now, I know that there is a "war" of sorts with quads and utilities - we wont have that here on this thread or in our riding group....EVERYONE is welcome!! Keep it clean and enjoy your time in here an on the trails!!

Sure why not....!! So, tomorrow I am heading to look for a new machine!! I wish you were here to walk thru that process with me...We could call Shawn and a bunch of other people and make a party of it!!! The chick is coming tomm to get my motorcycle.....im sad to see it go, but I need to let it....someone has to ride it!

Ive been thinking a lot about what you wrote about my choices....I'm really going to consider that. I appreciate your input...Ive gotten a lot of good advice from you and Butcher!!!

I want us to get together and ride this summer. Im still pretty sure about that weekend we talked about!

 

Hey Bio...Hows it going?? crazy thing happened yesterday...my gf and her hsb cam over and bought my wheeler...they wanted a polaris...so I sold it to em!!! they had a 90 articat - which i thought could be fun for the boyz.....so we worked it out!...... So looking to find that new machine for me. Any Can-Am dealers in your area that wont hit on me?? I m really trying to look for a good price. I think after all the advise on here and friends etc....im looking for that 400 xt EFI Outlander. Going to keep my ears open for a "play" quad (lol).

I would reccomend going with the 500 or the 650. My dad has a
outlander 400HO XT. personally i dont think is has enough power. but thats just my opinion.

 

ALOT is going to depend on the dealer, frankly I did not care for the dealer north of EC there. If you feel anxious or uncomfortable at one try another. My wife bought hers down by Lacrosse. Part of the fun of buying is looking. Take a couple days or w/e and just hit the dealers around. I see close to you are Menomonie, Durand, Thorp, Black River Falls, Tomah. Expand out from there if need be. With the group that you hang with would suggest more than a 400 though. That is what my wife has & even though I ride it on occasion I do not really care for it.

A dealer up here in the great north woods, Have a couple female's that sell bike's,quads,sled's,watercraft,ect,ect but ya never know these days thay might do the same.. lol

My dad also has the 400, I think it's a 2001, we use it for deer hunting/ice fishing.. But imo it has a hard time haulin my fat butt, the oldmans, & deer out of the woods.

 

Congratz on selling the popo. Youve got plenty of time to check out quads, while the spring restrictions are on.
What are the main trails around there? Do you guys go to Clark County to ride?

07 500 renegade 7299 + setup...
& just for Bio... A Black 08 DS450X for 8399 + setup omg that is alot of coin for a quad...

I got these #'s from some sale's dork.. The guy I got both my quad's from was sick, he is always lower buy a few hundo in price then just the guys/gals off the floor...

But If i did not like sport quad's so much, I tell ya this I would have 1 or both of those Renegad's, That 500, look's to be a great sport/4x4 quad, & it's big brother look like it could tear threw just about anything....

 

Thanks Z!! yeah - Ive been to a few places up north in WI also - that Danbury Trail and the Irone river area - awesome!! The Bear on the trails are REAL!! lol...

I got to test drive that 800 Renegade in TX when I went...that machine was sic! there was so much power at the tip of your lil thumb it was scary......I didnt like it and they were videotaping my impression of my ride, I flat out told em - i didnt like it...it was WAY too much for me..... So I sweet talked em into the 500 go round again....(only allowed one ride)...and THAT was the one I loved!! easy to handle, perfect power and totally "balanced" in how it felt...(make sense?).

So, today I found a 650 Outlander XT for 6500 - whaddya think...?
