Hi im new to the forums and im not sure if this is the right place to post this, but im turning 16 in september, and my uncle who owns motorcycles and stuff said that if i wanted to i can ride my atv on the roads with my L license. Now i live in Chicago,IL....Im not sure and im almost posotive you guys can clear this up for me : ). I read in the IL DMV thing, that it has to be under/mas of 200cc. But a cop told me 150cc or lower. So please someone help me.

I think that in the US there are only a few small towns that have limited access for ATV's on roads. These are places that have lots of ATV trails that connect to the towns and are trying to promote ATVing in the area. But, I don't think that you can legally ride you ATV on the road (as you would a motorcycle) anywhere. And if by chance there is somewhere like that, you'd need different brake lights and turn signals, plus a license plate to make it legal. Very, very doubtful that you can ride in Chicago.
Just check with your local DMV.
