Default Furthest you have hauled you ATV to go riding

I would really like to go riding in Moab. I know you can rent there pretty easy, but would really like to take my own bike. Moab is right around 1400 miles away.

What is the furthest you have taken your own bike to ride. We routinely travel 800 miles to our folks house and there is some good riding there. I can totally see taking the bike to go riding there.

Please, share your stories.

Thanks.

The farthest I haul to ride is when I go visit my parents in KY. Just over 500 miles each way.

I really want to ride some dunes in CA or UT one day. I never got a chance while I lived in WA. But I'm a little less than 3000 miles from CA and I think it would take me winning the lottery and not having to work anymore to be able to take my bike and ride all over the country!

You could do 1400 mi in about 24 hrs straight of driving, and if you got the time and money for fuel go for it! Would be a good story if nothing else!

Tennessee to Northern Wisconsin, think it was about 1,000 miles one way.

If you can afford it, go where ever you want. I live in NW Washington and one day will go to Silver Lake, in Michigan. That is like a 4 day drive.I want to go to every real sand dune in the country. So if you are crazy, lock me up, too.

I have driven to St. Anthonies, furthest so far. It was 800 and some odd miles. It was a long drive but on the second day of driving, I had no memory of the road. It was all good riding.

From central Minnesota to Silver Lake, MI, and to Little Sahara, OK, both about 17-18 hours one way, took the U.P. back from Silver Lake last time I went, and it was almost 20 hours. TractorPacker, if you live that close to Coos Bay in Oregon, and have ridden that, I'm afraid to drive all the way to Silver Lake would be a let down, it is a great ride, but after Coos, it would be like comparing the Sahara Desert to a sandbox, from what I've heard about Coos Bay. But if it is just to say you've ridden all the dunes in the U.S., sounds like a great dream to have !!
