Just curious if there are any VA folks here that know of local places to ride. A buddy told me about the Hatfiled-McCoy Trails in WV but I was looking for something a little closer to home.

OK....I see you are out next to Richmond. I understand why you want something closer. If you were in southwest Virginia you would be very close to all the trails around here in southern WV.

 

Slades Park is probably going to be the closest place for you. They are in Surry Va. right across from the Surry nuke plant. They charge 15 per bike & have alot of trails as well as a kiddie track, camping ect. I haven't been there yet but i know quite a few people who have been there & they say it's a nice setup.

Maybe i'll see you there one day. I'll be in a lifted Excursion with a flat bed & three kids.

Slades has good reviews, VMP in Dinwiddie just opened a new park. I'm going to Busco Beach near Goldsboro, NC this summer and just got back from Crumpler, WV last weekend (near H-M trails)
