Default NC trail riding

I am looking for somewhere to go trail riding with my 9 year old son. Others are invites as well. He has an Eton 70 so no mud boggin, just good old trail riding to get him into this and gain experience. We live outside Camp Lejeune in the Eastern part of the state and really dont want to travel more than a few hopurs. Anyone know of good places to go that fit this request? Thanks all!!!

Thanks Snydog. I just looked at their web page and they have alot to offer. Only issue is they are five hours drive time from where we are. We are looking for a close place to ride most weekends. This would be great for those long weekends and we will definately explore it in the near future.

Camp Lejeune, is that at Havelock? Cant remember if Camp Lejeune and Cherry Point are the same. There is a place called Black Swamp OHV in the Croatan. Check it out on google, not much info though. Go to Busco beach forum and look under ATV ridding, there is a recent post about it. Pics show some mud but I am sure it is like most places where going through the mud is optional. Its close, if your in Havelock, and only $5 a day or $30 season pass. Busco Beach in Goldsboro is less then 2 hours from you and well worth the drive. They have some of everything you name it they got it. Nice trail system with lots of mud holes, but they are optional, there is always a drier route around the big mud holes. Sand pits, hills, drag strip, race track, and of course wooded trails along the river. I am in Kinston, shoot me your email and I will send you some pics of me and my 10yo son at Busco on Veterans day.
