Houston, TX Riding Areas
#1
There are quite a few places around Houston to ride, but they aren't heavily advertised. It is easy to look for these places, and never find them. The only way I found most of them, was by word of mouth. The directions were pastes from their websites, so pardon the occasional poor grammar.
Parks I have been to are as follows...
===== OUTLAW ATV PARK =====
TERRAIN:
Lots of mud , hill climbs, and sand all following the San Jacinto River.
DIRECTIONS:
Take I-10East to Sam Houston Tollway North freeway will end... get in right hand lane and take the road that veers to the right to enter North US 90. Exit County Road off of 90 stop on the exit ramp.

===== SPRING CREEK =====
Terrain:
Lots of trails, Lots of sand and you are always crossing the creek the water is like bath water. You can also go to the other side and play in all the mud you want to.
Directions :
Go north on the Hardy Toll rd, when you go through the toll booth the first exit is Louetta/Aldine Westfield, take that exit when you come to the light you turn left, that road is Aldine Westfield. You will go under the toll road and continue straight. When you come to the T in the road you will take a left go about 100 feet and take a right. If you cross the RR tracks then you missed the right turn. When you make the right turn you are on Rilley Fuzzel Road, you will go straight. Go almost to the end of the road you will see a sign that says "Creek Parking $10"

===== GENERAL SAMS =====

Take exit 123 FM 1696 off I-45 (4miles North of Huntsville).
Turn left, then go West (under the overpass) 2 miles on FM 1696 to HWY 75.
Turn right (North) on HWY 75 and go 5 miles *.
Turn left on Bishop Road and go 1 mile.
The Red Gate will be open.
===== Mud Buddy's =====
TERRAIN: This place does not allow trucks, and trails are regularly maintained to make sure they are in excellent shape. Mud bogs are isolated from the trails, so if you are on sport quads, no worries of getting them muddy. The track area consists of half a dozen or so jumps, varying in sizes. They also have a dirt drag strip.
DIRECTIONS: I-10 West to 77. Take 77 South to Halletsville. Just south of Halletsville, take FM 531 East to Ezzell. Take a right after the school on to county road 450 about 6 miles, signs will lead you to the park.
