Hey I just came across these post about riding near western pa. Is anyone still interested in riding? I live near Saxonburg Pa and I'm looking to get out this summer!

I plan on going out to kittanning pa one of the upcoming sundays in march........

 

dont mind if i join in... anyone know of some free places to ride around pittsburgh? we are sick of paying $20, $30 or whatever to go riding at places.

does anyone know if you are still able to ride down west mifflin without getting in trouble? i was there like 4 years ago but wasnt sure what the situation is like now.

just looking for some places to go where we dont have to pay to ride. gets pricey after a while.

all adults, respectable and clean up after ourselves.

 

What do you guys ride?

 

there is a small group of us... but we dont always make it out at the same time.

there is 6 dirt bikes (all guys) and 1 quad (i think its a 300ex - female rider). like i said, consistently, there is only 3 dirt bikes and the quad that goes every weekend. the other 3 dirt bikes are every other weekend most of the time.

last night i drove past the place in west mifflin where i parked before, by streets run road, and they put up a gate since i was last there. assuming the neighbors probably had something to do with that as well as the powerline people. thats why i didnt want to knock on a door. was hoping someone would have been outside.

totally understand if this is to many people. not trying to over take places, we just like to hop around to different places if we can. 5 of the people joined tri county. so they will be going there atleast once a month. then scrub grass once a month. so for 2 other weekends, we were looking for somewhere to go for free.

i see trails all over the place, but parking is the problem. dont know where to park that is safe to ride.

can only ride the same place so many times.

jagoffs that ride through people yards and fly up and down streets are ruining all the free places for everyone.

 

I used to hunt off streets run. Don't know of any atv access since they torn down the gulf course. Where you from?

 

we live a few miles north of the city. along 28. kinda scattered in different areas.

when i was last out at west mifflin (about 4 years ago) i parked in a neighborhood off lebonon road i think its called. right by that dairy queen. pretty much right off streets run road. sucks they have it gated off now b/c it was a nice place to park and ALOT of trails back there.

 

I know a place near mines and meadows that free. Ill post on here next time I go!
