Renegade is a lot lighter handling than similar sized utility machines. When my son wanted something sportier we went the Renegade route and he is super pleased with it. It will leave the Wolverine and Scrambler in the dust (talking about the Wolv. 450 and Scrambler 500). Scrambler also has a rear chain drive that makes for more maintenance than the Wolverine's and Renegade's differentials. Not only is it quick for it's size it gets great gas mileage. My X2 gets around 22mpg when cruising around 30 on a railtrail. His got 32 mpg in the same conditions. The 800 is more of an animal. As BG said, it will lift the front end off the ground without thinking about it. Ridiculously powerful. Have to watch it in corners. You don't want to be on the throttle too much as it will lighten the front end and effect the steering.

thanks for the info. im an "old dude" . so an 800 cc is way beyond what i need. more interrested in the sportier handeling. my current is a 400cc 4x4. 22mpg? and your the polluing the environment? my pick up truck should be that good!

It's not the pollution I'm concerned about. Just giving a comparison point for the two quads. The Renegade 500 is a nice, sporty to ride, 4x4. Don't think anyone elses machine comes close.

My truck gets about 17 tops with the cap off and no load, going all highway.
