Default Wolf Pen area, Arkanasa help?

OK I did the search and found nothing recent. Were thinking of riding the WOlf Pen Gap area in Arkanasa over spring break. I need some thoughts from folks who have riden the area lately. I seem to remember something about trail closers? Also their seems to be many areas to ride, some private some public. We have two families that are coming with RVs and 4 wheelers and kids. Looking for something Family friendly, any advice or information about the area would be great. We like the ideal of several different locations to ride. Thanks guys. And by the way we are experince riders but with the kids we tend to stay on easier trails, we are use to mud but tend to stay away from step hills, thnaks again.

I am sorry, I just saw this thread.
1ST THERE ARE NO CLOSURES YET! We are fighting the new Forest Plan and MVUM with a lot of help from politicians, local city and county governments and residents that care about the local economy.
The BRC has filed our appeal and I understand something like 37 appeals were filed altogether.
We are in the Appeals period and as far as Spring Break all that has been open still will be.
We are having a Legal Defense Fund Raising Rally March 12th, 13th and 14th, Sponsored by the Arkansas Trail Blazers www.arkansastrailblazers.com and the Ouachita ATV Clubs www.ouachitaatvclub.com . It is located at Coyoty Canyon Campground. There will be a Poker Run, Scavenger Hunt and Auction at that location. On Saturday March 13th there will be Mud Drags at Camp Wolf Creek Springs www.campwolfcreeksprings.com with prizes in 3 catigories. 550cc and under, above 550cc and a SxS catigory.
Lots of fun for a great cause.
Go here for more info on Rally:

coyote canyon campground - Google Search

Hope to see some of you there. I will be in either red RZR LE or on a black Polaris Sportsman 500.

I beleive all the cabins will be rented by now, but tent camping and motels should not be a problem.
If anyone does make it, be sure you let every business you enter know you are an ATV'er here spending money that helps the local economy. Mena is in the middle of an Economic Impact Study being done by the Uof A because of the planned closures. Their economy will be devistated if we do not get it reversed.

All the trails with what some consider steep hills have bypass trails. Family fun is no problem.

Thanks for the replys folks, I was getting worried. We have at least two families coming up over spring break, its part of our regular riding group. Were coming from Texas with no real information on Mena. Were lookiong forward and will tell all we run into were ATVers. Were staying at Camp Wolf Creek, really don't know anything about it but Bill seemed nice so I guess we'll see. Guess we could always relocate if we needed too. Any ride or other imfo please let me know, and thanks again for the repy's.

Bill and Kelli are great, our club meets at their place. We will be having Mud Drags that weekend on Saturday at Camp Wolf Creek Springs as part of our Legal Defense Fund Rally. You picked a great week end to visit. It is only about a 1/4 mile to the WPG trails from their place.

Just returned from Wolf Creek Springs camp grounds and Wolf Pen Gap. We had a blast and will return. Felt like we rode for a hundred miles and only scratched the surface. We did have to wench down one hill due to rocks, mainly just trying to be safe. I would highly recomendWolf Creek Springs Camp grounds, Bill is very easy to work with and keeps a nice place, thnaks Bill and thanks of the recomendation too.
