Little Monadnock Family Trails, NH

Hey Wilson. I wish you would have been there too
I found a wicked beater mini Bronco with 4 potheads and 2 tents
. They were going up 4-wheeling and camping when they dropped into a washout with a tire and were stuck because the 4 wheel drive didn't work. I helped get them out and went on my way. An hour later I found a group of 3 or 4 ATVs and one dirt bike. I just continued on my way because I was low on fuel and headed for home. Didn't see any other machines all day.
I have no idea when they close for mud. I plan to just watch the trail reports on the club website. I ran into one sign today where a trail crossed the powerlines which said it was closed for mud season so I turned around there... But who knows it may have been there since last year buried under snow... The signs need more regular maintenance. Some can barely be read and others are completely erased.

Wow. So beautiful day to ride and I sat at home. I feel bad, I couldn't go.
Next Sat. I def. going up to LMFT, if it's open. I go with my son, than it will be slow ride. If they will close for mud, we will ride our roads in Washington.

Well I did LMFT today solo. I appreciate the warnings guys and I didn't ignore them without some careful thinking on the matter... I just really wanted to get into LMFT before they close up for mud season.
Great ride. Emptied my fuel tank in about 42 miles. Great variety of terrain available right now. No problems at all.

You know, Otto, In some ways they're better when they're snow covered because you can fly over all the ruts and rocks. Takes a lot more time and gas to get over those trails now. I had to panic stop several times today for a deep rut that appeared very suddenly. In fact, I hit one a little too hard and bent the front crossmember in the frame today
. I'll straighten it when I install the skids. Should have my Ricochet skids tomorrow. I REALLY need them!

I think there's plenty of area open enough for 2WD quads. In fact, the other group I passed by Sunday was all sport quads and 1 dirt bike. Have to admit I was surprised by the bike... No studs either... Just knobby tires
