110 Fish Hatchery Road is the club's only "official" parking area. On the club's website they specifically requested that nobody park at Fire Pond.

From what I understand there is no problem with parking at Fire Pond but the LMFT club wants us to use the space they've provided.

Fish Hatchery Road is a bit more of a hassle though so many people prefer the Fire Pond location.

Damnit ! Wilson beat me to it.

Thanks Wilson and CNC. I'll go to the 110 Fish Hatchery Road parking area. I don't mind it if it's a little rough to get to. I've got a 4wd truck too.

Agreed! It is a bit of a pain, but I'm making a conscious effort to obey the rules. This place is too nice to be openly disrepectful!

A little tip: If you are coming from the north or east, follow the directions to Fire Pond then go right past it until you get to Route 32 and go south. Fish Hatchery will be right on your left.

If you are coming from the South (Beergut) Follow Route 2 to 32 North to Fish Hatchery Road.

If you follow your GPS it will likely take you down Route 119 (Fitzwilliam Rd.) and this road is awful. Even worse with a trailer!

Wish I could join ya'all.

Yep, if I took 119 it would add at least 20-30 minutes to get to the parking area. Nice country though, even on the Mass. side.

Do they have a sign out by the main road or anything like that?

No sign. You will know you are there when you see the grid powerlines crossing the road.

The gate will be directly under the powerlines on the west side of the road.

Once off the road, inside the parking area you should see some of the small orange trail signs the club uses (if they made it through the winter). If not, just park off to the side...NOT directly under the power lines.

If the powerline gate should happen to be closed you can also get access from the driveway at 110 Fish Hatchery Road. Pull into the driveway and turn right immediately onto the trail leading up to the parking area. It twists around toward the power lines and there is a fairly well marked space to park.

I don't see any complications with Fish-Hatchery parking. I prefer this parking area. There is no rough road. It is asphalt road and direct turn to parking area. If you have a trailer you can park to the right of power lines.
NOT DIRECTLY UNDER. Or between trees with truck w/o trailer. I prefer between trees because of nice shade. Unfortunately no riding for me this weekend.

Gate was locked only for mud season. Now is open or unlocked. If it is closed but unlocked, just open it.

Sotto's correct. There is nothing wrong with Fish Hatchery Rd. Its just that coming from the south/east or north it is about 20 minutes longer drive. And the bad road is Rt. 119 (not FH Road) and you wouldn't hit it coming from Otto's side...Damn...now I really want to ride Friday.
