place to ride in IL
#1
On 3-18-01 in Morrison IL there is a cross country race. It's right off of I88 about 60 miles west of DeKalb IL. The race is put on by the United Off Road Racing Association 815-778-3641. The races are 1 hour long and are alot of fun. They have a race about every weekend all summer long. they have all diffrent classes you can sign up for. The races are held at diffrent tracks through out the summer. I would like to see more racers show up so please come. It will give you a chance to ride all diffrent terrain and places. Hope to see you there!!!!!

I was there last fall. I have to say I could barely stand it. The mx track was in bad condition and the cross country was nothing but uneven whoops. I did not get to race that day because my a-arm snapped and it wasn't because of the untaken care of jumps on the mx track it was the cross country course and it's never ending no rythm whoops. Other than that I had a good time, the people where nice, but I don't think I will be heading back out there any time soon unless I hear of vast improvements. Please tell me if/when they have and I will be out there.

I'm not sure what track you were at but in the fall it might of been torn up. I'm not sure what track they are using this week end but being the 3rd race I'm sure the track will be ok. They have 5 local tracks but the one you talked about sounds like the one at the bike barn. I'm sure thats not the one they are using this week end.

I also raced a race in the fall at the barn it was called the smith race and was about 50-60 miles long and he has 2 of those races a year in Morrison and he tries to make them really tuff and most people drop out because they can't handel it the woops are always in the race they are very tough I was 2nd by about 10 feet in the 4 stroke class on my 400 ex now I have a raptor so look out the fields will be way faster now
