3/24 SOAR (Southern Ohio ATV Riders) Ride at Big Rock OHV, Kentucky
#13
Where is the special section of the parking lot going to be? What should I look for when entering? (type of trucks, quads, etc...)
For those that live in Cincy, how long does it take to get there? I've been told several different traveling times.
Thanks!
Mike

It was fun. Started out looking cold and rainy, and just got better. The best part (other than riding) was meeting the folks from the webpages. DCSP500 and Tony (with buddies) came over from their home track of Haspin to ride with us, giving me a sight I hadn't seen before (their Polaris's shiny clean).
JohnnyBravo was there, as was DVNT1, Gerg (and pal), Red&White87, Truck, 4-Man-S, and my wife (TBossMama) and myself. Didn't talk about the club much, but had fun riding.
Spectacles of the day. DVNT1 attempting a low-altitude backflip on his 400ex, TBossMama climbing a nasty, slick hill on her 4x2, then wheelie-ing just past the crest, standing the TrailBoss on it's rear rack, then sliding off the seat and doing a backward double flip (roll) with a 1/2 twist roll. And the winner of the day: Truck testing his green submarine, and showing us the self-bailing feature of the Polaris belt-drive. P.S. If the Polaris belt drive housing can contain that much water, it must be equally good at keeping it out (barring a full submersion). The fact that Truck was able to start his bike, clean and pump it out, and continue to ride says a lot for the toughness of Polaris products. And this from a Honda rider. If I didn't already have a great bike, I'd probably be riding a Polaris myself. By the way, I hereby relinquish the title of U-Boat Commander to Truck, and promote him to Admiral. I am quite glad to admit I had no grand tricks up my sleeve on the ride, like confusing driving and diving!
Even some of the folks that showed up to ride didn't get to see JohnnyBravo's SOAR stickers, and man, does he do good work! I can't wait to get a couple of those, for the bikes, as well as my truck!
Red&White87, get those new meats! And we will hopefully see all of you at WNF soon!

Like Bob said, weather looked bad in the morning turned great by the end of the day. I had a blast, it was great getting to ride again. The turnout was great and meeting everyone was even better. Wasn't much of a meeting, more like a meet and greet ride, which is the whole point of the club. We will have to have some "non-riding" meetings to get some things accomplished, cause who can sit around and discuss things when you have so many great people, ATVs, and trails gathered in one spot, you can't help but mount the machines and venture into the trails. It was great seeing everybody again and meeting/riding with new people. Bob, like always had some great toys on hand. Trailboss Mama, that is one "kickin' butt" hill climber. Truck, I agree with Bob you are the U-boat man. Awesome display of Polaris taken a beaten and keep on tickin'. DVNT1, what can I say, you da man. Easy to tell where your username comes from. The way you like to tackle the hill climbing is unbeliveable. I would just look at the ones you attacked and would say "no way". Great to ride with ya. RedandWhite87, Great quad! One of the cleanest Banshees I've seen. Glad to see some more "sport" ATV riders checkin' out the club. Hope you can ride with us some more, you were lots of fun. Greg, glad you made it out again, make sure to keep in touch so we can ride again.
Sorry I had to cut out early on the ride, if I had my way I would of rode till the lights came on. I had a great time with everyone and look forward to the take off of SOAR and some more great rides with everyone. Talk at ya soon.

Hi everyone I am glad we all had fun.I realy did not want to show how you could flood out a polaris real bad & then get it to start but what the heck.I gladly except the promotion to Admiral
Even though making a u-boat out of a explorer is not a good thing too much work afterwards.Anyway
we all need to do it again.
