I was just wondering how many people from this board are going to this event. I'll be there with about 10 other guys (400EX's, Raptors and a 250EX). I think we are going up early Sat morning...trying to be there around 8am.

Also I have heard it can be a mud pit. I am debating to keep my stock tires on (good tread) or put on my buddies Dirt Devils...my Razors wont be here in time ... This is our first time for this event...any suggestions or things to prepare for?? Thanks!

Listen up guys, we went down last year and had a blast! We got there on Fri at around 10 AM they closed the main camping area at 11:30AM! This year All the camping will be togeather so it will be even more crowded. Forget about trying to go Sat morning! Its not going to happen! People that got to Cochranton last lear at 6AM waited in a 2 Hr traffic jam then stood in the registration line for 2-3 more hrs!
Don't get me wrong this is big time fun but if you try to get there Sat you will be disappointed.

We are going to try and be there by 5PM on Thursday to set up camp. Half the fun of this event is the camping.
There will be 4-8 of us depending on how many wimp out at the last minute. We will have 2 Raptors and 2 Trailblazers.
See Ya There! Drew

vwvr6,
This will be my 5th year. If you are going saturday AM, be prepared for a very looooong day. I hope you have alot of patience, and like sitting and standing alot. Take my advice I learned the hard way. Be there Friday at the latest. We will be camping there friday. ScramblerDrew is right, Friday night is the best.

Well we are going up this Sunday to pre-register, so that will be one less thing to do on Saturday. Also I just talked with our group and we are going to leave very early so we can be there by 6am. Sounds like a blast!

I'll be there with probably around 18 other guys. This is year number four for us. It is a blast! I too would recommend getting their Friday or even Thursday. The registration lines can make you sick. Each year we get up early to line our bikes up for a good starting position. Last year we heard a banshee at four in the morning, and we got up and pushed ours down to the line. This isn't really legal so if you do it don't let em catch you. They're expecting 10,000 quads this year, so do everything as early as you can to avoid lines! We're pre-registering this saturday, that would also be a good idea for anyone else who can do this. Have fun and see you there.
