Default Paiute 01 Near Kingston Question

I'm hoping someone can clarify for me. I'm planning a trip to the Paiute trail and comparing the Nat Geo map to the Fishlake National Forest map. If you follow the "01" to where it crosses Highway 62 (just east of Kingston), heading south from there the Nat Geo map shows that this trail is open to 60" vehicles. The Fishlake National Forest map shows it as a 50" trail. Can anyone confirm which is correct?

We'll have 2 SxS's (56") with our ATV group. Thanks.

That's the one area we didn't get into when we went in August... We weren't far from there but had to head back to Marysvale at the end of the day.

I noticed my National Geo. map was revised in 2011. Not sure what version you have.
The revision date on my map is in the lower right corner of the map that shows the north side of the trail.

We took the main trail SW down towards Circleville and got into some serious switchbacks. The trail was marked as 60" on the Nat. Geo. map and it was just wide enough for a 60" rig, so I imagine is the same on the other side. When we came down there was another group coming up shortly after we got through the switchbacks. They had a bunch or RZR-S machines. It was tight to put it mildly. We had to park our rented machines on edges of 100' or more drop offs and had to push the roll bars of the RZR's to keep them from bumping our machines off the edge of the trail. Took about an hour to get their 10 machines past our 4 quads. We talked to the owner of Moore's Old Pine Inn, Randy, about the trail and he said it used to be just over 50" wide and they were getting about 18 quads going over the edge there so they widened it. I imagine they did the same on the other side. Haven't heard from Specta in a while so I'm not sure 100% how to get the information.

I think I may have found the answer. Over on ATV Utah, LINK, it states the "following trails are open to vehicles 60" or less in width: Kingston Canyon section of the 01". That is the Kingston Canyon part of the trail, so hopefully this is correct and the National Forest map has not been updated.

There must have been a lot of confused folks like myself, hence they put up this page. Regardless, thanks for the reply and info.

You're welcome. Paiute Trail is one of those places it's hard to take a bad picture. As soon as we were heading home we wanted to go back.
