Still a nice pace.
For the first outing of the year it was pretty quiet down there.
Total riding area is only 3850 acres now.
Mostly Sand flats and tight wooded trails.
Big mud holes run along all of the low area of the park.
This is where we watched all the 4X4 trucks/jeeps get stuck and break stuff.
Saw two Raptors, both of them being babied by their owners.
One was showroom new so he was breakin it in but come on, you can get on the gas mister.
Yellow 400EX's everywhere I looked.
Counted 18 400EX's throughout the day, 10 300EXs: since I ride Honda I was just kinda impartial.
Paired up with a 400EX owner since I didn't know anyone down there already.
I dusted his @$$ in the trails once pretty good, but I know it was his skills and not the machine's fault.
Let me know if anyone around IL MO is interested in heading down there sometime.
Except holiday weekends of course.

Jay; It will be a couple weeks before we go back down but I will keep an eye out for you.
Mudd; We don't exactly bring a camera when we go riding. Sorry no pics.
There is LOTS of sand. Pretty much the middle 1500-2000 acres is all sand and it is totally surrounded by heavily wooded trails.
There is a campground on site connected to the riding area with trails.
It is first come first serve, No reserves.
Get there early on Friday and just hang tight.
We saw some folks get there Saturday morning after us and when we left they still did not have a camp site.
We will definitely be back down there before June, but let us know when you go!

Hey I live in IL. and I ride at St. Joe all the time. I will probably ride there in a couple of weeks from now. Just got my banshee back together. I added Chrome Burgard +2 +1 inch A-Arms and a Chrome Lone star Steering Stem. Keep me informed when you guys are going and maybe I can meet up with you guys. I have about 10 people that I ride with from my area.
