places to ride in mi
#2
Madman223, congradulations. You've just moved to one of the top three States, to ride in. I think we were number two a year ago but after riding West "By God" Virginia, Michigan, has lost a notch with me anyway...
We have over 3000 miles of trails to ride and there are groups to ride with on either side of the glove like State.
However, you will have the same problem we all have here in Southeast Michigan. The nearest trail is Gladwin, Michigan and it's a three hour ride north, for you and me. There is a place in Flint, Mi. called "The Mounds" (I-75 North to Exit#126, East) where you can ride 200 acres at a fee of $7.00. That's about 1.5 hours from you. Make sure you have a helmet, spark arrestor and ORV sticker at any of the riding areas. Call the DNR (517-373-1275) to get maps of ATV trails and rules booklet.
Also, you may want to consider joining a local ATV Club if you just need some others to ride with. Hope this helps you get started...
