That's a long drive. Well, there are some good sand duning opportunities along your way. What highways were you planning on taking. If you are taking I-80 most of the way I would recommend that you stop at the dunes near Rock Springs, WY an in Idaho definatey stop at the St. Anthony dunes. Check my web site for pictures of these and other places as well as directions, maps an altitudes (for jetting purposes).
If you are going to Oregon I would hope you are going to the coast to ride the dunes there. I think that www.oohva.org should help a lot for riding in Oregon. Check the rules there.

If you make it up to North Idaho make sure you don't miss the Wallace area...self proclaimed ATV capital of the world, quads are street legal here, and with over 1000 miles of trails, you have unlimited opportunities. The Annual ATV Jamboree is July 18-21 in Wallace, big event should be a lot of folks this year.
