I just called the marrieville ranger station & they said they just put allot of money onto fixing it up & it's been too wet lately so they are waiting for the first good freeze to open in up so it doesn't get too tore up. I was planning on going up on 12/22 but I guess it's canceled until snow.

Oh no! A group of us from Cleveland were planning on making a trip over there on the 22nd also. Lets hope for a good freeze next week. To bad the Weather Channel says that won't happen.

 

Yep, just called too. Theys said, as you did, that they need a good freeze. The ground must be frozen for them to open the trails. But they don't need snow, just frozen ground. If your a snowmobiler your out of luck until it snows. Marienville is like this, you should always call ahead, below is the info.

I live in Columbus and ride at Wayne National Forest. My family is from Avon Lake and when I am home, I ride with some old high school buddies. We pack up the trailers and make road trips. Nothing local unfortunately.

 

Darn it! I was gonna go this weekend,too.
