I spent three days riding at LBL back in early March. I was thoroughly impressed. The trails are a blast to ride. Some of the trails are a bit rocky, but not too bad. I don't think I would call the trails at LBL steep, but then again maybe I'm just used to riding in the mountains in Eastern KY. I was impressed with the variety of trails there are at LBL. There are wide open fast trails, tight and twisty, mud bogs, hill climbs and just about everything in between. My only complaint about LBL was that the hill climbs just weren't big enough. LBL is a great place to ride. I can't wait to make it back there for another great trip.
