WE WENT UP THERE LAST SUMMER. UNFORTUNATELY, I DROPPED A VALVE 15 MINUTES INTO OUR TRIP I DID HAVE A CHANCE TO RIDE MY BUDDIES WARRIOR AND A 400EX UP THERE. LOTS OF HILLS THAT YOU CAN JUMP WITH ENOUGH SPEED AND YOU CAN TAKE YOUR PICK UP OUT TO THE BEACH TOO. WE HAD A GOOD TIME EVEN THO I BROKE. IF YOUR GOING ON A HOLIDAY WEEKEND IT WILL BE PACKED. LOTS OF LADIES UP THERE TOO!

HAVE FUN!!!!

I've been to the dunes a number of times, and it's always a good time, especially if you're with a group. I believe the ORV area is about 500 acres. There's always enough jumps and the action on the dragstrip can be quite entertaining. Along with quads, there's usually quite a few buggies and trucks out as well. Be warned that the Michigan DNR is starting to pay special attention to noise and spark arrestors. Other than that, throw on the paddles and go.

The hills are pretty tall and is a lot of fun. We went up early october adn wasn't that crowded by looking at parking lot. I hear summer can be really busy. We had a warrior, 300ex, 250x, & 250r. Obvious which one did the best, 4-strokes though were a lot of fun and I'm sure 400ex would do even better. The only paddle tire were on 250r and we got around ok. Lots of campsites and a few cabins to rent. they require a michigan orv sticker, aprox $20 I think good for 2 years maybe, and flags are required, apox $15 up there. have fun

A group of us went last June all the way from New York and it was awesome. We're going back again this year. During the week it was pretty much deserted so you could have it all to yourself but on the weekend we had to wait an hour to get into the parking lot but the drags were alot of fun, sometimes 10-20 bikes lined up at once. The Sand Dragway down the street is cool to, 300ft drag strip with a Christmas Tree and all.

The dunes are the best in April/May and October. Great scenery, smooth sand, and less crowded. Summer months are fine during the week and busy on the weekends. Here are some sites with more info:
