hey guys just got my quad about a month ago and i am in need of some sand...heard that vantage and moses lake area but wondering what one is best for beginiers? want some what of a challangle but also wantit to be fun...i have a 2001 honda 400ex with paddles.
iam thinking of going over the on the 13th...
thanks for any input..i know oregon dunes are the best but thats a long drive for a weekend stay...

If you go to Mose lake, it just plain flat, a few small hill climb like 30 feets and that it.
You can cover the area less then 2 hours before going over twice. It very dusty area too. It is a good place to go there.
Also don't use paddle tire at Moselake because you will ruin it. It mostly all dirt rock terrian. Little sand there..... Use knobby tire there. Trust me because I have been there before.
Just 5 hours driving go to Sandlake of Oregon which is the close to you. Or just make a 4 day weekend go to Florence or Spinreel or Horesefall and get alot more riding area then small pity area of Moselake.
Have fun....

oh wow i thought moses lake was sandy and a for sure to use sand paddles.... so i might have to make it to beverely(isnt that vantage area?) I got paddles and i want to use them..... but i guess i can always go to oregon....but it qwil lonly be a weekend trip...leave friday home on sunday.....
so does moses lake have big drops offs?
can you camp over night in beverly??? guess we could always hit beverely and moses lake in the same day wouldnt be a bad drive....i am over here in everett...

Mose lake is almost kinda flat but there is some drop off like 30 feet or so. You have be careful in that area, some of the drop off can be sneaky on you if you are not paying attention.
I believe Beverly place is more sanding then Moselake. About overnite ? Here the place to look at.
