In granite City IL, on Chouteau Island there will be a 300 acre atv/dirt bike park. There is a club formed ( CHOUTEAU ISLAND PARTNERS INC.) for this riding area as it will be a private place for a year or so till state grants come in. If you join before June 3rd, 2000 it will be $20 a year and then a daily riding fee. For more info you may e-mail me or go to the link below. They are planning on building a MXtrack, TT track, trails and mud bogs. There is a possibility of another 288 acres to be added to the park in the future.They have meetings every month.

To all Metro St. Louis - IL. riders this club is a real good thing and will offer a close place to ride besides St. Joe state park, or Coulterville..

 

I know this was posted a long time ago... But, I live in Granite City and was wondering if you had any more information about if this was still open or what the status is on the area. I would LOVE to be able to ride there!
