ttaylor: When do most of the trails open for spring riding? We are only 3 hrs East no the CO line and would like to try some of your area trails this spring. Any info your could provide would be appreciated.

Most of the trails are open about mid May with an occasional snow drift still in place. You can come during April but a lot of snow will still be in the Mountains. A lot of people choose to stay in the lower elevations like Moab or on the desert for Spring riding. Then venture to the Paiute Trail System during the summer.

If you are looking for a beautiful spring/Fall ride I would suggest the Freemont ATV Trail. You can stay in Marysvale, from there take a lower trail to Circleville. At the south end of Circleville you catch the Freemont Trail. Follow this trail clear to Tropic Reservoir. Spend the Afternoon Fishing, camping, sight seeing, or riding additional trails around Tropic. While on the trail take a ride through Casto Canyon.

Thanks for the info. May would work good since we want to camp. Do any of the ATV clubs have maps of your area trail system or could you recommend state, BLM, or other maps that would provide the best trail guide.
