Drove over the border into West VA yesterday to check out the Tomahawk MX track off I81 above Winchester, VA. We paid $20 a head to practice all day on the MX and Harescramble track. Normally, they charge $25 but the track owner gave us a break because we were riding in snow/slush/mud. The MX track is awesome, great jumps and terrible whoops:-) There is a huge step-up jump that will kick your a$$ if you don't hit it with authority. The Harescramble track is almost 5 miles long and very tight. From Stafford, it was 113 miles and about 2 hours with a couple of coffee and donut stops. According to the owner, there will be an ad for the track in the next issue of Cycling East. The first race of the season is 16 Mar. Also, Tomahawk MX has a web site. Good fun, nice folks, and not too expensive - all in all a great day.
