My list is pretty similar, just drop El Mirage and add Rasor and Hungry Valley. In the summers when the desert is hot, we ride the Sierras around Bishop and Mammoth, and Kennedy Meadows. See http://bokasmo.com/pages/ohv/ (click on California) for some other places.

We ride Ocotillo Wells, Stoddard Valley, Dumont, Mammoth, Bridgeport, The pacific coast of Baja, and the Sea of Cortez coast of Baja. This weekend we are camping at Afton Canyon and riding the local area up and around Razor. It will be alot of fun with all the rains we are having.

Miller Canyon provides access to the Pinnacles area (behind Lake Arrowhead), without having to do the long drive (by car) into the mountains. From Silverwood Lake, take Hwy. 138 east toward Crestline. When you reach the Miller Canyon sign, turn left, then make an IMMEDIATE right turn and go a couple hundred yards to the staging areas (road 2N37 I think??). From there, you can take Forest Service roads up into the mountains to the single track trails at Pinnacles (my favorite place in all of So. Calif.!!!!). We are going there on the 4X4's for some MUD AND SNOW RIDING, this Sunday. The hills face north, so they hold their snow pretty well even after everything else has melted.
Call the Forest Service visitors center at Big Bear (Big Bear Discovery Center????), and they will send you a set of OHV riding area maps. Miller Canyon isn't named on it, but if you get a Forest Service map you can find it easy.
Bajacat-We were at Rasor/Afton Canyon Presidents Day weekend. I didn't ride down Afton, but everybody said the two river crossings were REAL DEEP! Have fun!!
