I live 20 miles north of Louisville, looking for somewhere semi close to ride and always willing to ride with new people. The only place I have been riding is Daniel Boone National Forest in Kentucky. It's a blast but a long haul. If anybody knows anything let me know.

This is about 2.5 hours from you but have you heard of the riding area that is becoming quite popular which was recently purchased by the State of Indiana. You would head west on interstate 64 out of Louisville and take the Lynnville exit 39 and then head north on state hwy 61 and the riding area is before you reach Spurgeon to the east. Right before Spurgeon you would take county road 1200s which is a rock road. You drive down that road over a mile (might be a little longer) to an area where you can park. There is about 2000 acres of riding area. Last weekend there was no telling how many riders were in this area. You do have to have Indiana off road registration numbers. Lots of mud or any type of riding I would say. You could also stay there and camp overnight but very primitive.

A guy at work was telling about some area around there but he did not know to much about it. The 2 1/2 hours is better than the 3 to Daniel boone. I'm getting everything ready for the Hatfield and Mcoy trails in the beginning of April but I will definitly check it out. I guess the bmv is where I need to go to get my #'s

its called an: Application for Registration of Off- Road Vehicle. State Form 390
I would call one of your local dealers they should have these forms.

The DNR is very strict about this. If you do not have these numbers in this area you will be ticketed if caught.

Haspin Acres in Laurel IN isn't very far from you. Its on STRD121 just off of STRD52. They have around 800 acres of woods that have trails that go every which way. Also have a sand drag strip ( I think its an 1/8 mile) and 2 motocross tracks. Its $15 a day to ride, you can camp there, they have showers and a cafeteria. Lots of people there on weekends. I go down at least once a month and its a 2 1/2 hour drive for me. If your interested check out their website www.motocrosspark.com
