The best riding in the area is the (fairly technical single track!!) trails behind Lake Arrowhead (Pinnacles) and Lake Silverwood. There is also lots of riding nearby in the high desert (Stoddard and Johnson Valleys, Wild Wash, etc.).

 

It's about 40-50 miles from San Bernadino but these guys rent Quads. If you have never been riding on a dry lake check out Soggy Dry Lake in Johnson Valley. Johnson Valley also has a little set of Dunes.
