Default Colorado anyone?

I'm new to this site and wanted to know if there was anyone here that rides in Colorado? My Wife and I are always looking for people to ride with and new places to go.

Hey there is a lot of places to go it just depends on what kind of riding you like to do. We go to rainbow falls alot, its above Colorado Springs. There are some sand dune up by Waldon (great time) but you need a long weeekend to go there. not just sand there are a lot of trails to ride also. I ride with some guys from Castle Rock so if you find any cool places let me know. i have also heard of some trail over by Salida we're thinking of going that way this summer.

Walden is fun, Rampart Range is close. There are places all over the state. Check out l&m productions at FayMyers. They have a lot of good maps for the state. You could also go down to their store and check out the maps, alyways a good excuse to go to the motorcycle store.!

Not closed, close, as in nearby... I was just up there a couple weeks ago myself. I was just saying it was close because YamahaFlyer lives near me and it is just an hour from my house.

We have been on some of the trails near Woodland Park and enjoy them quite a bit. We are not big into rock crawling and prefer faster trails - quite a few North of Boulder and into the Loveland area. We have been on some great trails outside of Central City and up in Summit County as well when the weather permits. We are new members of a local Denver/COSprings ATV group called the Colorado Quadrunners [ http://www.homestead.com/coloradoquadrunners/ ] and they have a lot of organized rides going on this year that we plan on participating in. A couple of events that they are sponsoring are a poker run at Rampart Range and an ATV Challange in Kremmling. Check out their site for more ride info.

We haven't been to Walden yet but I would LOVE to get out on some dunes.....I have heard sport bikes are more popular on this terrain.

YamahaFLyer, come check out Walden. It's about 800 acres or so of dunes but there a lot of trails from there up into the hills. It's a pretty popular place but don't go yet until we know the snow is gone.

Welcome to the site and the club. I was going to say "check out CQR" but, I see you've already joined. Maybe we'll hook up on a club ride. My main squeeze and I are thinking about doing the upcoming Poker Run.

See ya out there.

For those interested in the Poker Run or ATV Challenge check out the site Colorado Quadrunners

Flyin,

My Wife and I are probably going to help out with the event at a check point or something, sounds like it is going to be a great turn out and a fun event! See you on the trail!
