It was 37 degrees that day... when I rolled it in I went in over my head. By the time I made it back to the truck I had ice forming on my skin

It was pretty bad. The Gorilla axles continued to fall out, so, I put the oem's in and rode the rest of the day. That is until 2 of the 4 rear lower control arm bolts broke. That is when, I decided to get a DIFFERENT make quad.

Ok, so I picked up an '07 Sportsman 700 EFI last week and decided to take it down to the Badlands offroad park near Attica, IN. I should have heeded my reconsidering thoughts about going since the special order mount for my Warn 4.0 winch took longer than expected. I couldn't wait any longer. "Well, I don't need a winch on a few test runs right?? That's only for when I get serious. But I'll bring a tow strap just in case." And why would I even think about bringing a come-a-long...if I don't need a winch, I don't need a come-a-long...right?!? WRONG!!! About 10 min after I get the quad off the truck, I'm ripping through the Orange trail (hilly/rocky/mud/water/etc.). All is well, very impressed so far. I go down a slope and around a bend and there it is, mud heaven. Before I could control myself, I started easing through the 20ft long puddle. Piece of cake, I've done 12" of water tons of tim...what the poop?! Instantly water was up to the top of the seat. I worked it, wiggled it, twisted it, tried everything possible and then it died. Crapola. Here I am almost a mile from the shop with a 750lb brick in waste deep water, knee deep mud, and no winch or come-a-long. I just had to pick the slowest day in Badlands history too!! It was a ghost town. After about 2-3 hrs of tracking down and using a come-a-long I was praying that it would start. I don't think that day would have ever ended had it not started. I was going to take a picture of it but then I realized that my camera and wallet were in the "water tight" cubby. It was water tight all right, kept the water in great until I opened it. suck. No pictures of that fiasco.
