Default Temperature gauge instalation questions

I'm going to add a temperature gauge to my Rhino 660. The kits I've seen all tap into the rad hose (which I don't want to cut) to mount the sensor. I would like add another sensor to the stock sensor location by installing a Y-adaptor (or a T).
Has anybody here done this?
What is the stock fitting size and tread type?
Any help would be appreciated.
