Default Yamaha Raptor Question

How come yamaha doesnt put a pipe with a design like any aftermarket company? For the extra money it would cost them it would it would be a hell of a lot better and seem to make more sense.

Default Yamaha Raptor Question

Probably because of noise. They need to keep the enviros and buracrats happy. Liability might play a part also. And they probably did some kind of market research that said more people would not like a loud exhaust.

Default Yamaha Raptor Question

I think Yamaha deliberately detuned the Raptor for safety reasons. They knew a lot of novice riders would buy them and they probably did not want the liability of a novice on a 45 RWHP machine.

I agree!!!! I wish they had a rating system for rider experience!!!!!!!! That way you could get a quad according to your riding level and experienced riders wouldn't have to "tune" their machines as much!!!!!! And the ones that so desired could really build a "BEAST" without emptying their pocketbook!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
