I just noticed that my Raptor will go into reverse without using the reverse lever!!!!!! Anyone have any ideas on what's going on and how to fix it? Thanks in advance everyone!!!!!!!!

 

I imagine you allready checked to make sure the cable is adjusted properly.

 

Extreme, didn't you recently do a tranny rebuild? Did you get the shift forks and reverse fork in the right grooves on the shift cam?

I had an engine rebuild done. It runs fine, real strong!!!!!! I was just messing around today and while downshifting I discovered that reverse will engage without stepping on the rear brake and turning the lever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Reverse seems to work fine too. I was just concerned as to what could be causing it!!!

 

Since you didnt split the cases , Did you? then my guess would be a mal adjusted reverse lever.

 

Mine did that once. I just wiggled the reverse switch thing and worked fine ever since.

 

Wash- The cases were split!!! (I had a Carrillo rod put in.) But I honestly think it's the reverse lever being mal adjusted!!!!!( I hope!!!!) I'll check it out again tomorrow and post back!!! Thanks for the help guys!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Xtreme
