My question is what all can be done to a raptor to make it faster without messing with the piston or anything big like that.... things i've thought of are Gearing, Right Paddles, Right Pipe and Header, K&N with the box lid off. I advanced the timing on mine and i honestly think it made it slower, but i thing it could pull bigger paddles now tho. Also is jetting that important, I mean my raptor dosent spit or sputter, it runs like a dream. I saw a dyno post somewhere on here said he gained like 14 HP or somthing... anyhow Thanks for your input and hopefully we can all make are bikes faster [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]

 

First off you should start by buying a new pipe and good flowing air filter with out the airbox lid. Then re-jet it. This really woke my raptor up alot, now i can pull second gear starts like nothing.

 

Try an X6 exaust from Curtis Sparks Racing and a Dynojet kit. I had this on mine for a little over a month and I raced a few of my buddies on their stock Raptors and it was a major spank. I was really impressed with the gains I got from just a pipe and jet kit. But it wasn't enough so I went ahead and got a piston and cam from Sparks also. Now she's a monster. Cant wait til they (Sparks) can get me in for the full 690 kit. -Stephen-

 

Get rid of the air box all together if you mostly ride dunes.
