Stock Raptor tires=Lots of Flats?
#1
I will be riding on some very rocky, rutty, hard, and muddy trails soon. Just wanted to know what to expect out of the stock tires. I plan on carring a can of Fix-O-Flat with me. I have used this product before and it works good, but it's only a short-term fix. I plan on getting 6-ply Razrs when the stock rubber wears out. I don't think I will get much more then one season of use out of them.
I did up my air pressure a few pounds, seems to help it side better as the stock rubber is not known as good slidding tires. Thanks guys.

Yes the stock tires are not very good, i found this out on my first desert race. The first part of the track was very rocky and i ended up blowing out one of my front tires right away, i think they are only two ply also!

I have heard about the co2 guns. How many cartages does it take to air up a completely flat tire? I seem to have a problem with all 10 of my tires holding air.

Use SLIME. It works great for the bead, and the small stuff. It will do the handle the same kind of stuff as fix a flat, except you wont have to carry anything with you
I cant wait to get my 6-plys. My stockers are leaky, scraped, pinched, shabby, smelly, and pretty much just hammered.

Almost all new atv's use lousy 2 ply tires.....why!!?, i feel we pay top dollar for a new quad and they install crappy tires, you ever see the price of these tires?, twice as much as a good 6 ply...time for class action lawsuit...hell, firestone had one!

I have also popped all of my tires at different times. The Dunlop tires are 2 ply and they are simply garbage. Then they want 80.00 for a new one when you can by maxxis or shredders cheaper. I do NOT recommended the slime !!! They will make your quad go squirrely at high speeds. (the only way to ride) I put pure sports that are kevlar lined up front and razors 6 ply on the rear. They are both awesome tires that work great and won't cost you a second mortgage on the house. I see that they are putting the garbage tires on other new quads also. It's just a damn shame for the amount of money that we shell out for these performance machines to have inferior products put on them.
