Default 686 jetting for altitude

Just curious, how much jetting change will be required when riding from sea level to 4500' elev? My 686 was running very strong at the coast but when riding at 4500' I had a bad gurgle at about 1/4 throttle. I moved the needle clips up a notch to the 4th slot and it was less but I didnt want to go any more and have to open it up again when riding the dunes. My top end was great with 195/200 mains which leads me to believe I'm still gonna be lean at sea level. I would like to jet for an in between situation so I dont have to tear it apart every time I change ride elevations. Any suggestions?

Where do you ride more? I ride at sea level up to around 6000'. I jet for sea level and live with the little rich condition for when I ride in the mountains. Its somtimes is a nuesance with the little stumbles here and there but its just trail riding and going real fast is not a concern.
