Wolverine Transfer case wont stop leaking AHHH!
#1
Hey all, My wolverine is a 2001. I do have the 424 select but that has nothing to do with this cause it got messed up before I installed it anyways. OK here is my problem.: My transfer case keeps leaking oil when I ride for more than like 10 min, regurdless of speed. I can see it pooled up on my skidplate just below it. It is leaking right near where the shaft enters. I changed the seal there and it isnt anywhere near the CV joints. It has never been crashed or tweaked and I find it hard to believe the case is leaking itself. The only thing is before I did the seal the bolt inside the yoke at that end (not the motor end) was so loose you could turn the nut with your fingers. I dont think this is how it is supposed to be? I am gonna check that it didnt get loose again but if it did I suspect there is a problem because I had the seal done at a mechanics shop. Looking for any ideas or does that bolt sound like the problem?
I'll update you on if that bolt is loose again I have to take the guard back off. (between my exams and such.
