Stage I Hot Cam or New Paddles
#1
I have a 2003 Raptor with a slip on, K&N air filter, GYTR jet kit. The last two not installed yet. Which do you think would help me more, a Stage I Hot Cam or a new set of Skate II's or maybe even a set of Skat Trak Edge's. Right now I have a set of fairly worn out Sand Sharks. If you have this installed the cam , where did you notice the power increase-top end, bottom, or mid.
Thanks

It will help out all over the power band. The stage 1 that is. It'll work better with a 11;1 piston however. As for the paddles. Get the sand skates over the edges. The sand skates are the best tire for the best of both worlds. Strait lines and turning.

He's right the cam works good with a HC piston and if your already there you might as well port it and theres a HUGE power increase. I feel the stage 1 gave me more mid to top with out losing bottom end

DUNER2003- i cant comment on the cam since i dont have any experience with it but for tires i will tell you that if you want a good all around tire either the sand skates or the edge are both good choices.if you want the maximum amount of hook up and you like to drag race then the hauler is probably your best choice.what kind of riding do you do the most?i see that you live in oregon and if you want to see how the haulers would work for you let me know and my wife and i could meet you at florence and i will let you put on my extra set of haulers and we will give them a good test.

Thanks for the offer, I have tried the haulers, while they work great for straight line riding, I did not find them much fun for overall riding. I prefer the V blade. I really like the Skate II's I was just wondering what people thought of the Edges. Thanks again.
