Warning, Dumont in summer is bad news!!!!! im still feeling the effects from a heat stroke from 2 years ago, 4th gear tapped and i passed out, the sand blew my ear drum out and packed my eye with sand from impact, the heat is decieving when riding and having fun, by the way I WAS stupid at the time and was not wearing helmet at the time of crash!!

If you want to do a summer trip, I would do coral pink. If you want to camp in the campground you need reservations though. There is an open place to camp, I think they call it the meadows or something like that, but there is no shade and no facilities.
Last year me and my wife and son spent the last week in July down there. It got hot during the day, but not unbearable and we did alot of day trips to see the sites, like zions park, and bryce canyon etc. There are lots of places to see around there.
If you cant tell, I like coral pink and would love to go back soon, probably not this year with the new baby, but next for sure. Oh, and the campground is very regulated. I am not sure how far it is from vegas though.
Sorry to ramble.
