I pay $65 a year for each of mine. A 400EX, and a 400 Kodiak. Full coverage, $250 ded. from Markel.

I heard from more than one guy that had Markel that they were great to deal with when it came to claims.

I had it with Progressive for about two weeks, then they tried to pull a fast one on me, and I dumped them.

Well, their website quoted me $881 for 1 year with $500 deductable for 1 Raptor with $2000 in accesories. Maybe I should have stuck with their default $500 accessories. $130 a year for 2 quads is, as another said, "reasonable".

Maybe because I live in the barrio of Southern California and not the burbs I get reamed. Looks like the lock and chain will have to do for now until I can get other quotes because I'm not paying more for one quad than my automobiles and travel trailer combined.

I think I got such a low rate because I have a squeaky clean driving record, plus, I have a certificate for completing an ATV safety course.

For both my banshees with a $250 deductible and $1000 in accessories I pay $189 per year.

The only thing I did not like about markel is they wont insure the mini quads. Oh well, my auto would, but at $300 per year. I did not think that was a good deal and I have great auto insurance with USAA.

Well, my driving record is clean as can be. I'm also 41, not a youngster. It's got to be the location or maybe I typed somthing wrong. Their website is at a snails pace. I'm not going through it again to find out.

Ok, well I did it again and got it to $727 and if I go to a $1000 deductable I can get it for $625. Next insurance company please. LOL

I have my Warrior and Raptor covered by Markel. Based on your needs the price quote will vary greatly. My goal was to at least get the majority of the value back if stolen/burnt AND to have some coverage if I would happen to smack into somebody or something out in the dunes (a pretty good possibility out there )
Therefore, I went with the base value plus $1k assecories on both (I know, really low)....I only selected :
a) Bodily Injury Liability (help fix somebody if I hit them).
b)Property damage (help fix something if I hit it).
c) Comprehensive (theft/fire/etc....)
Plus - I qualified for Safe driver, Driver class, and Multi-unit discount.

Total for both quads = $92/yr. It wont replace every singe aftermarket part lost but it will get me another bike to ride without overspending on insurance !
