Wolv,
I stopped into my dealer here in Anchorage around 1:00pm this afternone and the 450 hadn't been released yet... They thought I was joking when I told them I saw pictures here last night. Then I showed them.... Those guys couldn't believe that I saw the pics before they did. anyway, I asked if I could get on the waiting list... they told me to come back tomorrow and they'd hook me up. funny stuff! We saw the quad here before most of the people at the dealer show! lol

Anybody noticed that the dirt bikes have 12.5:1 compression, and the quad has 11.9:1??????????? A little detuning going on here. Same 39 mm carb though.

from what I could see on the Yamaha website, I think the aluminum subframe looks pretty beefy, kinda resembles(somewhat) sportbike design. The upper aluminum a-arms would be of concern to me too, yes lighter, but sturdy? let us wait and see.....................I think it looks bad azz,,,,,Wish (almost) that I didn't already have the raptor, but you know what they say about wishing in one hand......................
come on someone hurry up and ****** one up and let us all know how it is..............

If anyone knows when they will be in dealers showrooms let us know. I will ask my dealer as soon as possible. I will not buy one right away, as funds are going to be tight, but I want to see one in person.

to add to the detuning issue I see the displasement is down from the WR450. The WR is 449cc the yfz is 439 its been de-stroked here is the WR specks WR specs I rode a first year YZ 400 and it rocked it snaped off the line reved to the moon very fast! very impressive. I think the quad will rock. king of the hill? wait to be seen. king of the motocross track ? no doubt
