I've heard that by the year 2006 there will be no more 2 stroke machines, is this true? I actually had a dealer tell me its going to happen due to the EPA clamping down. No more Banshees or Blasters? Scramblers? Buy em while you can.

 

Diablo, I have heard of the same thing. The reason for this is because of air polution and enviromental health issues suppossibly. A lot could change in two years so i'll guess we'll have to wait and see. SLIM

 

It's looking that way.... I don't think a bill has been passed yet but I'm sure it's in the works. If you're not a member of ATVA you should join. Also vote, vote, vote! it's the only way to make your voice be heard. Look at what Liberals are doing to our gun rights. The 2nd amendment is dying a slow death. there's people out there that if they could they'd ban every ATV made. Scary thing is some of those people are in positions of power.

 

Definetly, every vote counts. I actually downloaded a petition from the ATVA last week. Looks like they are making a move on bigger sport bikes due to injuries and environmental damage. Try all they can, they might have gotten 3 wheelers banned, but that was long ago, and the ATV comunity has grown larger and the industry is booming. Getting rid of them would be a big mistake. Same goes for our right to bear arms, try all they want, they'll never take my right to protect my family.

I hear ya man...... but like i said it's happening already. guess they just banned .50 cals in California. Just like in What about Bob the "Anti" community is taking Baby steps.

 

yes, the 2 stroke death is nigh. it started out as a polllution problem involving outboards and snowmobiles. now it includes all 2 strokes. like itll make a difference.....hehe
and as far as guns, I have a concealed weapons permit in Oregon, had to pass FBI background check, take classes, etcetc and some incredible fees, anyway, it is now honored by agreement in 40 states, one of them NOT being California, a state that really needs to have armed citizens!
I just hope they keep their nuts down there, unfortaunately, a few have sneaked across our border and closed down riding areas by building houses in the woods. Now they are complaining about the wildlife!!!! what next? sidewalks and streetlights? WHY did you leave Cali again??? wow

 

these people make me sick! I know it's important to take care of our environment, but they push it too far! If they got thier way, we would all live on trees, we'd walk everywhere, we'd all be vegetarians, punishing a criminal would be done by giving him/her a great big hug, and we'd let every country that hates us bend us over. Extreme off roading would be running through the woods barefoot. Yaaaay, that sounds like the world I want my future generations to live in!

 

Yeah I think its funny when i hear somebody say we're killing the Planet. I'll tell you what, Ole Mother Earth will kill us off before we kill her off.
