Default Trade the craptor?

I have been offered a 2000 shee in good condition with toomey's, reed spacer, and some jetting..........along with $2500 cash...................for my 03 rappy with some motor mods............(I now have the sparks X6 pipe.......I haven't updated my signature yet)

give me some input please!

I am tempted to do it because the shee would haul if I put the 2500 into the motor...........right?

If you can swing the 600+ a year in top end maintaince then I say go for it. Rember after 06' the Banshee will be a collectors item.

umm wtf are u talkin about, if properly maintained a banshee can easily last 2-3 years on the same bore piston and rings. I just bored and rebuilt the top end on a friends banshee, the total cost for boring .30 over and new wiseco pistons rings and gaskets were around 350$ maybe a little less...Some of the parts wernt even for the top end..... so i dont know were you get those numbers from....... Parts for the banshee will be around for years and years to come, it has one of the biggest aftermarket parts markets around.......

Little crazy there!

Collectors item is a good thing, like the 250r. Yes parts will be around till the end of time there is no doubt about that.

Most Banshee owners I know rebuild once a year, if you stick a piston you are looking at 500 for each jug, not to mention the rest of the parts and that gets real expensive. Worse case I was saying 600 a year, so if you are saying 350 a year (doing the work your self I figure) then it sounds like a pretty good deal. IMO.

600 a year? Your retarted, flat out stupid. Gasket, rings, pistons, and bore wont ever top 300 bucks, unless your going super lite pistons.

Ever heard the old saying if you are going to play you are going to have to pay?? Now depending on where you bought your parts [dealer=$$$$] also determines on how much they are going to cost you.

$$2500 into any motor will make any bike faster.

Well you all seem to have your points about the cost, now why don't you help the guy out on his question. Or is that not important anymore!

Sounds like a great deal to me, I'm no expert but it seems like you'd be coming out a little on top.

P.S. MY top-end rebuild gaskets, bore and all only cost me a hair over 200.00$
