My buddy just got a 04 Raptor, red and white... Man that sucker looks awesome.. I really didnt like the red and white online, but when I saw it in person, its sweet. That red frame is kool.. I thought it was a light red, but its a cherry red. Anyways, he is thrilled about it, were gonna go do some riding tommorow.

 

are there any differences in 03 and 04? I am about to buy one and can get an 03 200 bux cheaper. I want blue, of coure [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img]

 

Some one said the 04's have been slopply put togther like the welding on important parts are very slopy and not well detailed.

 

That's weird, I mean raptors have been out four years now and they're great machines. I find it weird they would be put together sloppy, they should be fine tuning any little minor thing or complaint there has been about them. I'd say they're put together fine but hey I haven't seen an 04 yet.

they have gone unchanged. There is no difference. My brother works at yamaha, says the only differnece is the new color, and the frame is silver on the blue one now (instead of blue painted frame) on 03 and below

 

-Have not heard anything about the frame having problems, "sloppy welds" and all. They should be the same exact thing. We arn't talking about suzuki here!

 

Trying to talk the wife into letting me get the new yfz450, boy if I can get that I'll be happy! I did want a raptor but I am changing my mind now!!!! I want to build a mx or cc machine for a rider to race for me. EJR (EJ'S Racing team)

 

Hey suzuki is fine this was there first year quad to so they made their mistakes. I was taking up for this years raptor. My frame has had no problems and I've rode it quite hard at times. As I recall raptors had quite a few more problems their first year than the z.

If you need a rider then I am the guy. I got heart just like Rocky. Just send me the travel schedule and have the RV pick me up. I will quit my job Monday. You do have health benefits for me, right? One of those Division4 girls to ride around would be icing. Make sure she is over 21 though. I don't need any trouble with underage drinking after I win some big races for ya.
