Default too rich!

When im riding at 1/3 of throttle (pilots initiation) it bogs beyond recognition almost like the parking brake is engaged. Im running 27.5 pilots which DMC reccomends with this set up. It ran fine before with the lid on but once i took it off and beefed up the mains thats when it all when down hill. I think i can get a few more hp if i lean it out. BTW, runs like a bat out of hell after it clears up.

Let me get this straight. All that you changed was the mains and removed the lid and it started happening? Everything else was the same before? If that's the case I would go down one notch on the needles and try it. Sounds lean.

I had a DJ kit before with the mods i have now but with a air box lid no snorkle and a one inch hole towards the rear of the lid. I switched to the gyt-r jet kit and ran with no lid and it started happening. I had 27.5's pilots installed on the dj and it ran great the i switched to the gyt-r and i guess thats when it happened.

First thing I would do is check the float level with a piece of clear tubing and adjust if needed.
Next I would put the 25 pilots in that came in the GYTR kit.
Put in 165/170 mains.
Inspect the needles and slides to make sure the clips and washers are in the right order and that the slides are moving up and down in the bore freely.
2 3/4 to 3 turns out on the mix screws if you use the 25 pilots and arond 2 or less if you use the 27s.
