Default Finally got my maxis 4-snows today!!!

I came home this evening and ups had left 2 boxes in my garage. I thought that my wife had won a prize (she enters sweepstakes while i ride) and saw my name on the label. Opened them up and it was from chaparal. I had ordered them 2 months ago and called last week and they were still back ordered. I had cancelled the order and had given up. I called Chaparall back up to see if they had anymore in stock. They had 2 mounted on rims and i told them to ship them out to me too. I figured Bob needed a set for one of his rappy's. I decided to see if they had any pro-wedges and i was going to get a few sets of them for friends but no such luck. Got the only 2 sets chaparall had. I had tried all over to get these tires. They seem hard to come by, why?? The snow should be gone by now all over?? Sorry ernie660 and dollarbillz i tried to get you some to. Oh well i am sure we can switch them around in a hurry at the races if we need to.

Where is the cheapest place to get factory dunlops?? I want to order a spare set of those to have on hand.

I ordered my Pro Wedges from a local Honda dealer. They have an Ohtsu tire dealer that they order from. I got the Pro Wedge 501 which is 22x10x9 instead of the Pro Wedge 2s which are 22x10x8. $52 per tire for the 501s. They had the tires to me in less than a week.

Daren is right. A lot of local dealers can get or have the prowedge in stock. Call around to Honda dealers.

Are you using the factory tires for hook-up? Try Shredders.....they hook like crazy...2X better than the stockers. Don't slide well though.

Gary- I watch every tire combo known to man at the dragstrip. To me it looks like factory dunlops that have 80 percent or more tread is the way to go on my dragstrip. Other strips like different tires. The factory set up is lighter than most of the others. It is a trade off usually. I am working on securing different sets of rear mounted tires.

In the 660 foot races on hard pack the pro wedges/4 snows look to have a advantage from 450 feet to 660 when they ballon up and leave a small foot print and save you a shift.
