Default Buying a used Warrior

I am thinking about buying a 96 warrior. Looks to be in great shape, and comes with 2 sets of tires on wheels. With the price of quads in Oregon being so much, and me only having 2500 bucks, do you guys think that this is a good deal? The bike is selling for 2500 bones.

Warrior is a great bike. Long as it is what you are looking for and is in good condition, go for it. I never regretted buying mine.

I really like the Warrior we used to have but It didn't work out that great for the Dunes. I don't know what you'll be doing with it but other than being a little under powered for the sand it would pop out of gear while pulling a long sand hill. It did it in 2nd and 3rd gear. I have a few other friends that said theirs did the same. Just a thought. On the Dirt you should be very happy with the Warrior.

I am 6'1, and 220 pounds. Blaster is too small. Not alot around here in my price range. Would like a banshee, but can't touch one for less than 3500.

Some might disagree with me but you might be a little big for the Warrior. I'm 6'1 215lbs and it's not bad for size just a bigger bike would suite you better. Hold out and find a used Banshee!!!!!!

Thanks for the reply guys

I think I am gonna go for it. It will be my first one, and I plan on buying something faster this fall, maybe the new 450. I have been riding a friend of the familys warrior, and banshee. I really like the banshee alot, but I think that bike will get me hurt, being so inexperienced. I'll play with the warrior this summer, and make a decesion on what to buy next. My daughter will end up getting this bike.

Mods are cheap, and it will be more than enough for my 11 year old daughter. She aready throws around my brother in-laws blaster

I think you're making the right choice, it is a great all around quad. I must say I must have been lucky for selling my 92' for $2000.

I've never had a problem with the warrior. I think its a great, all around sport quad except for one thing., Is first gear a parade gear or something???

Lol, parade gear. The only two things I don't like about mine are the turning radius and the reverse speed. The reverse gear is geared so low that you don't even have to give it gas, it backs up on idle. Not really a complaint, just something I wondered about. I love the power and reliability. Only thing I don't like is the turning radius. You have to steer it with the back end when you're going really slow.
