Default Banshee Airbox

Just put on a K&N filter. Runs great w/ the lid on. Take the lid off and it is real responsive on the low end and bogs on the mid to high. Am i running too lean? A dude a work says raise the needles up a notch? What do you guys think? I think that i need to mess with the main jets! Anyone know how high i should go for this mod? The Shee is totally stock and i am at 7500 feet!

LOOKIN FOR SOME PRO CIRCUITS FOR MY BANSEE..... ANYONE KNOW WHERE I CAN PICK SOME UP FOR CHEAP!!!!

Don't mess with the needles. Its more than likely it's your mains.

It is lean, could be just the mains, or you might also need to raise the needle a clip. I would guess you need to be at about a 220 main, but could be off. I have not played with stock machines much.

220 is too lean also. I run FMF Fatty's with a K&N Lid on snorkel off and I run 27.5 pilots and 280 to 270 mains. I'm at sea level her in Anchorage. Also think about getting a Dyno Jet kit. Comes with everything you need. needles and mains. You'll have to go to your dealer to order pilots. Make sure you get Banshee pilots as they are threaded different and are a little smaller then normal ones.

Hope this helps.

27.5 pilot, 280 main should take care of your problem.

I think a 270-280 main is way to rich for stock pipes, but maybe I am wrong. He is also at 7500 ft. I live at 6300 ft and with pipes, no airbox, and a few other mods I run 280-300 mains and it runs great. So, I think with your altitude and stock pipes with just no lid on the airbox I would think in the 210-230 range would be about right.

Let us know what you find out.

didn't realize he was running stock pipes. yeah, 25 pilot 220-230 mains and you should be ok.
