I bought a dirtbike off ebay once AND I GOT SO SCREWED!!!!! I paid about $850 for a '87 yz125 that was supposed to just need rings and possibly a piston. I figured no big deal, a little work and I have something. Well put it this way, the picture of the bike on ebay must have been from the early 90's sometime and I bought the bike in 2000. Ya, you can see what happend....... The bike wasn't worth $100 the way I got it. Then the guy was gone and wasn't seen since........ Good thing he lived in Texas!!!! People need to be careful with auction sites. Escrow fraud is a big thing right now. Dont fall for it. On atvtraderonline.com there are two 03 raptors limited edition with a buying price of $3400, i contact the guy and he asks me to send money to some escrow site. After researchig i come to find out that it is a fake escrow site. I was so close to losing my money. Read some horror stories at http://www.auctionbytes.com/pages/abn/y02/m10/i25/s01

It does smell of scam. It could also just be false advertising. It is probably an older model built up and just billed as an '03. Definitely get the vin# and location.

Or, it could be a repo...

I think I've seen that one on Ebay before but the reserve was never met. Maybe the guys sick of trying to sell it. I WISH hehe

If you look at the registration sticker, it is identical to the one I just covered. I think that thing is coming out of Utah, home of Ebay. I'm saying scam, especially for $4902. JMO
